Challenge
The client is an early-stage, privately held sales, engineering and manufacturing biodiesel and ethanol fuel company. STHRM, Inc.’s challenge was to develop and implement a custom human resources process for the client.

Accomplishments
Sourced, recruited and interviewed salaried and production employees.
Implemented co-op program through the Third Frontier Grant with a $9,000 reimbursement to the company.
Wrote and developed salaried, non-exempt and production employee position descriptions to determine skills, competencies and education requirements.
Developed pre-employment physical with alcohol and drug screen for new employees for cause, post-accident and random testing.
Wrote and prepared employment offer letters for salaried, non-exempt and production workers and a non-disclosure and non-competition agreement for employees.
Partnered with the company's chief financial officer to institute an HSA health insurance plan with annual cost savings of $6,000 per year.
Implemented a 401(k) plan with annual fiduciary and plan review.
Developed and conducted new employee benefits and company policy orientations.
Developed and wrote company’s employee handbook.
Assisted in the development of a sales incentive program.
Coached and counseled company’s president and chief executive officer, executive vice president and chief financial officer on how to handle on various organizational and human resource issues.
Successfully resolved a crisis intervention with a suicidal employee.
